Aldi, a global supermarket chain, needed a robust and scalable PIM solution to streamline its product data management and improve data quality across multiple sales channels.
Aldi encountered significant challenges in product data management across its extensive operations. The retailer struggled with handling large volumes of product information from diverse suppliers and categories, while maintaining standardization across different markets. Additionally, Aldi needed to enhance automation in data ingestion, validation, and syndication, and establish seamless integration with external systems and third-party platforms.
Working in close partnership with Informatica, our team developed a sophisticated rule-based data validation engine that enforced Aldi's data governance policies, a custom module that automatically ingests supplier-provided product data and maps it to Aldi's standardized format, a tailored integration layer between Informatica PIM and Aldi's ERP and e-commerce platforms, a workflow automation tool for product approvals, and intuitive dashboards with role-based access controls.
Automated data validation significantly improved data accuracy. Automated workflows contributed to a 40% reduction in manual data processing time. Custom integrations ensured smooth interoperability with Aldi's existing systems, and the solution provided the scalability needed to expand PIM operations into new markets.
We partnered with Coca-Cola to onboard their entire business data to Informatica, a modern data management tool.
